Our accreditation demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine. These standards cover nearly every aspect of our hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, pet health records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental and nursing care, anesthesiology and diagnostic imaging. Only approximately 15 percent of animal hospitals in North America are accredited by AAHA.

Vaccinations

Dental Care
Increasingly, our clients have become aware of the fact that it’s just as important to have their pets’ teeth examined and cleaned on a regular basis as it is to protect their own teeth and gums. Our specialized services include cleaning, polishing, tooth extraction and oral surgery.

Diagnostic Medicine
We believe that reaching the proper diagnosis of your pet’s problem is very important in the successful treatment and ultimate recovery of your pet. Sometimes obtaining the proper diagnosis requires blood sampling, urinalysis, cultures, radiographs, electrocardiogram or endoscopy in addition to a thorough physical examination. We are pleased to maintain the most current technology available in blood and chemistry analyzers as well as digital radiography, thereby providing you with the most accurate information possible.
Surgical Services
We offer a wide range of soft tissue surgery and a limited range of orthopedic surgery. Our surgical suite is fully equipped with the most current anesthetic and monitoring equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for your pet.
Stem cell therapy now available
Speedway Veterinary Hospital is now providing stem cell therapy to dogs and cats. Uses are primarily to treat arthritis, tendon & ligament injuries, and fractures; however, this treatment is also being used for allergies, asthma, chronic renal disease, inflammatory bowel disease and many other conditions. In many cases, pets are able to be completely free of pharmaceuticals; in almost all cases, the quality of our pet’s lives is significantly improved.
Our Facilities
Our clients are most familiar with our clean and comfortable reception area and our examination rooms. However, the rest of our facility is what makes us one of the best in this area. Our hospital includes up-to-date surgical facilities and provides modern anesthetic techniques, constant patient monitoring, and the performance of a wide variety of soft tissue, orthopedic and elective surgeries. Our diagnostic facilities are excellent. We offer complete laboratory services including serum chemistry, hematology, serology and parasite testing capabilities. When necessary, we use university and veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics.
